By Brian Martim - Kitui East MP, Nimrod Mbai, has criticized National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate, Raila Odinga, over his demands of reforms in IEBC terming them as unrealistic and uncalled for.
The first time Jubilee legislator, who defied all odds to win the parliamentary seat in a region considered an opposition stronghold, has called upon Kenyans to go on with their daily activities of transforming the country even as they wait for October 26 to choose their leader and ignore NASA’s sideshows
“Everyone is equal in this country as long as they have a national identity card, so Raila should not dictate anything because not even the president can do so,” Mbai said.
The opposition wants top Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission officials who, they say, colluded with Jubilee to bungle the August 8 Presidential Election including CEO, Ezra Chiloba, to be shown the door as well as the ruling party to drop their proposed amendments to election laws before they participate in the repeat election.
He called upon the electorates to come out in large numbers and vote for President Uhuru Kenyatta who, he says, stands for the transformation of the country as opposed to NASA leaders.
“No one should stop us from having an election because by the end of this month there must be an elected president. We are ready to conduct elections, re-install President Kenyatta and the country moves on,” added the legislator.
Mbai was speaking at Kyamatu market during a rally to thank voters for electing him in August 8 General Election.
